Welcome, users!
This is a fan-made site for the All Gen Gamers, “a podcast for people and video games of all generations”.
This site is focused on providing you with easy access to all episodes of the All Gen Gamers podcast.
I hope you’re r-r-r-really happy to be here!
What you can do here
Browse the home page to see the All Gen Gamers episode list, or peruse through the blog for a hodgepodge of site updates and other ramblings.
And please let me know if you happened to visit the site!
What this site is not…
Just to be clear:
- This is not the official website of the All Gen Gamers
- This is not run by the All Gen Gamers
- This is not officially affiliated with the All Gen Gamers podcast
- This is not actively hosting any copies of the All Gen Gamers podcast episodes1
And no, this is not a DVD!
Why was this site created?
(1) I wanted an easy way to browse through the All Gen Gamers episodes, and (2) I want to help preserve this podcast.
Surprisingly, there is not a streamlined way to find and listen to episodes of this podcast:
- The RSS feed is incomplete
- The YouTube channel is incomplete (and some episodes are cut-off or have audio artifacts)
- Podcast apps do not have all the episodes
And, even if you manage to download all the MP3s yourself, you are still missing the episode title, summary, and — most importantly — the episode thumbnail!
Luckily, the All Gen Gamers website is still up and running, but it can be frustrating to navigate through the paginated list of episodes to find what you want.
So I thought: why not build my own All Gen Gamers library, where I can easily browse and search for episodes within a single web page?
Who am I?
My name is Max. I’ve been listening to the All Gen Gamers podcast since its first year, and I regularly followed the show and the forums (R.I.P.) until the final episode.
I still regularly go back and listen to old episodes. Sometimes I’ll listen to my favorites, and other times I’ll choose one at random.
I’ve listened to the trivia episode dozens of times, yet I still don’t know all the answers. Listening to the Christmas episodes has become part of my personal holiday tradition. And I can list off every song mentioned on the legendary guilty pleasures episode.2
Even after AGG ended, I still love all the running jokes, gags, love talk segments, and more that make this show timeless.
I also have a lot of other fun ideas for this website to further preserve and remember this podcast. I’ll do my best to keep this site under active development.
And yes, as you could probably tell from the name of the site, I am a fan of The Whale.
